At the heart of the Verde Valley Senior Center is a dedicated team of over 40 incredible volunteers who make everything we do possible. From delivering hot meals through our Meals on Wheels program to helping serve lunches, assisting with events, and offering companionship to our seniors, these selfless individuals bring compassion, energy, and joy into the lives of those we serve. Their kindness and commitment create the warm, welcoming environment that makes our center feel like home.

Our Meals on Wheels volunteers are true everyday heroes. Rain or shine, they head out across the Verde Valley to ensure that our homebound seniors not only receive a nutritious meal, but also enjoy a friendly face and a moment of connection. For many seniors, that brief visit is the highlight of their day and a vital part of staying emotionally and physically well. The impact these volunteers have is immeasurable—they don’t just deliver food; they deliver care, dignity, and community.

We are so grateful for our current volunteers, but the need is always growing. With over 40,000 meals served annually and hundreds of seniors relying on our programs, we’re always looking for more helping hands and caring hearts.
